Demons of the Ocean

Conor and Grace are orphaned twins whose lives change when a violent storm wrecks their boat and separates them at sea. Conor is rescued by a pirate crew and begins learning the skills of life aboard ship, while Grace is taken to a mysterious vessel whose inhabitants are connected to the legendary Vampirates.

As the twins try to discover what happened to each other, they encounter dangerous waters, secretive crews, swordplay and a hidden world of vampire pirates. Justin Somper’s first Vampirates novel combines seafaring adventure, fantasy and suspense in an accessible story for young readers, with themes of loyalty, courage, family bonds and the search for belonging.
