In a world where the sun has not risen in decades and vampires rule the night, the last of a holy order of silversaints recounts his life’s bloody work to a chronicler. Gabriel de León, once a devout warrior of the Silver Order, tells a tale of faith, betrayal, lost love, and relentless war against the creatures that destroyed his world. This dark, adult fantasy blends gothic horror with epic quest, exploring themes of belief, vengeance, and moral compromise. Jay Kristoff, known for the Nevernight Chronicle and co‑author of the Illuminae Files, delivers a grim, richly imagined saga that will appeal to readers who enjoy brutal action, layered world‑building, and morally complex heroes.
