Holy Terrors

Opis

Holy Terrors by Michael Clemenger is a harrowing memoir recounting the author's childhood in Ireland's abusive religious institutions. As a baby, Clemenger was placed in a children's home before being transferred at age eight to St. Joseph's Industrial School in Tralee, Co. Kerry, where two Christian Brothers singled him out as their favorite and subjected him to years of sexual abuse and brutality. Chilling and unflinching, the book details his survival of these holy terrors and his eventual escape to forge a life beyond the trauma.
