Masterpieces of Western Art, 1996, Benedikt Taschen, Germany. Edited by Ingo F. Walther. This is a New Two Volume Set of Very Large Pictorial World Renowned Art. Masterpieces of Art is a history of painting from the Middle Ages to the Present Day. Unlike conventional art histories, however, this publication does not offer a legendary text accompanied here and there by a few illustrations. Instead, the focus is on the paintings themselves: more than 900 paintings trace the history of Western Art through the ages. Two Volume Set in a Hard Shell Matching Slip Case.
