A gripping blend of conspiracy thriller and coming-of-age drama, this manga follows Kenji, a former rock musician who reunites with his childhood friends when a mysterious cult leader known as “Friend” begins enacting a series of catastrophic events eerily tied to a story they invented as boys. As the line between past and present blurs, buried memories resurface and ordinary people are forced to confront the consequences of their youthful fantasies.
Naoki Urasawa, acclaimed creator of *Monster* and *Pluto*, crafts a sprawling, character-driven narrative that explores nostalgia, responsibility, friendship, and the seductive power of belief. Rich in suspense and emotional depth, this volume showcases Urasawa’s masterful pacing and intricate plotting, making it an absorbing read for fans of psychological drama and epic mystery alike.
