Tradicionalna deduktivna metodologija koja izvodi hipotetičke odnose iz apstraktnih teorijskih modela sve više ustupa mjesto induktivnim strategijama istraživanja koje polaze od socijalnog konteksta subjekta. Stoga je osnovna svrha ovog rada pronalaženje jednog sveobuhvatnog spoznajno-teorijskog pristupa koji bi proučavanju socijalnih fenomena prišao iz multidimenzionalne perspektive razvijajući sve tri poznate strategije: hermeneutičko-povijesnu, empirijsko-analitičku i akcijsko-kritičku.
