The Evil Eye

This is the classic work on the ‘evil eye,’ an aspect of demonology which fascinated students of the occult since time immemorial. The belief that there is an evil power capable of working upon any object it behold has existed in all times and countries. This belief was sanctioned by the Church, medieval physicians, and all writers on occult science.Author Frederick T. Elsworthy was born in West Somerset, England in 1830 and died at the age of 77 in London in 1907. Among his published works were a number of books on English dialects as well as volumes on archaeology. His interest in the latter led the way to his intense study of demonology and his classic work, ‘The Evil Eye.’
