The book is the author’s autobiographical confession, or authentic testimony about the events around Srebrenica during the 1992-1995 war. The author reconstructs the events and characters in a credible and humanly striking way, objectively describing the images, translating them into words that form the synopsis of a novel, which is not a novel, because it is about real events and falls into the genre of creative documentary, bringing a story about the trauma of people who are condemned to bare survival, with all their virtues and weaknesses. The events in the book mainly relate to 1992, when the genocide in Srebrenica and other eastern Bosnian cities actually began, and which was brought to an end in July 1995.
